Ok, thanks to everyone so far for their advice. My current specs are running a 21p Al on a 1999 3.0L Alpha One with WOT around 4400 rpms and top speed of about 43mph. My boat is a 99 Regal 17' and loaded at about 2500lbs.

I have narrowed my selction down to the Apollo and Solas Titan. I am thinking about going with the 4-blade Apollo 20" or the three blade Solas and Apollo 19".

My question, I am looing for better holeshot than my 21p but of course, no loss in top speed. I was thinking the 19" three blades would give me better hole shot but not much loss in top speed since they are ss. What can I expect out of a four blade? Also, do the Apollos come with the XHS Hub (the websites aren't clear on that) or do I even need it with my outdrive? Thanks

Haveing owned a 3.0 powered boat for 11 years i can tell you that due to the lack of low RPM HP your much more limited and will not get the best of both worlds :)

A prop with a PVS system would give you the best chance of success at inproveing hole shot without loseing top speed as it will allow the higher pitch prop to slip at low speed and let the motor get into a better place in its powerband faster

My DIY venting made a BIG difference even on a ALU prop and if it had a PVS system i am sure i could get more inprovement with fine tuneing of the hole sizes

I have a 14.25r19 Rapture SS that is too small a pitch for my boat. I only had it on one day. It has that vent hole on it. I had it on my 21ft. Celebrity 350 magnum Bravo 1. **********************************************************************************************
