Using a direct link to a particular page on oil-pumps I can read the .pdfs here
http://www.biggerhammer.net/mercury/factory_manuals/Service Manual PDFs/TwoStroke/824052r3/3e.pdf

However when I try to look at the engine I'm interested in - a 3cyl 75 or indeed any other engine manual I can get to the contents from the welcome page
http://www.biggerhammer.net/mercury/factory_manuals/
but clicking into a section it just says the specified .pdf file doesn't exist.

Anyone else use these manuals and have this sort of problem. Maybe I need some sort of dealer access code?
As you might guess from my other post I need the section on flywheel removal!

thanks!

Works fine for me. Try installing or upgrading your Adobe reader to the most recent version.

Sorted guys and thanks for each of your helpful posts.

Zamboni's link gave me direct access to the page I needed right now.
I turned down my virus protection a notch after reading Wellcraft's comment and on RodC's suggestion checked my Adobe version -which I'd only recently upgraded- to find my Windows 2000 Reader 6.0.0 has been supeceded by 6.0.1. Hey presto full online access.

Now if I could just sort out my errant flywheel magnets as easily.....!

Zamboni, THANKS! Could you please send me the link to the carbs too?

Listed below are the problems that I have been having that have been driving me Nutts!

She booooooooogs out of the hole. I have to feather the controls forward and backward and then she kinda goes after the long hesitation. When I get her tached up to 4K and go to give her more throttle she stalls.
I took it to an authorized Merc dealer and he said I had to big a prop which was a 10"x16pitch. It had the same behavior as above, but would tach up to 4500K, and going 35mph.
Dealer said I needed a 12"x10pitch. It tachs out at 5500K now, but I'm only @ 3/4 throttle, and doing a blinding 24mph.
The boat is a 16ft Carolina Skiff.
I tryed:
1. 4 different tanks of gas.
2. 2 differesnt gas tanks.
3. 2 different primer bulbs, all primer bulbs were hard.
4. 3 different gas tank fittings.
5. I removed the 3 carbs, took em apart and they are all CLEAN, yes I'm sure...
6. 3 sets of spark plugs.
7. 1 new fuel filter
8. Yes, I'm sure the gas tanks were all vented.
9. Dealer checked the idle setting, and they were on the spot.
10. Plugs seem to be getting fouled especially when I trolled around today at 1600RPM. The were wet and black. Set prior to that looked as they should... GOOD
11. All three cylinders are firing..
My thoughts are that the float levels are off? Anybody know what the float setting is?
Any other ideas?

Johnfromfla:

http://www.biggerhammer.net/mercury/factory_manuals/Service Manual PDFs/TwoStroke/852572r1/3a.pdf

Daibheid, there is a sportjet site on the net that has lots of specific info on those motors....and pulling the flywheel. If your lucky the magnets are unbroken and just being 'pushed around' when motor runs...just need to epoxy back into place in that case.
I just relined the aluminum wear ring on a sportjet with epoxy-lot of advances in this field making it esay to get good results.
