hi guys i just got a 125hp and put it on my pontoon boat.This engine is awsome as far as power and is much quiter than the merc it had on it before.My problems are there doesnt seem to be any way to throttle the engine without having it in gear is this normal? Next thing is what should the rpms be on these engines at wot? I dont know exact year model but from what i see in pics about an 88 or 9.

on the us marine controls, you grab the entire handle and pull it towards the center of the boat, then you are able to rev without shifting.
