what the hell...I am pasting the url in the spot for it under change avatar and the pic appears and then I hit the update profile button and then I still cant see the pic??????

What picture hosting site are you using? I had that problem and had to use a different hosting site. Photobucket.com works for me.

Whats a while? I started this thread a few days ago and still no avatar.<br /><br /> When I go back to "edit proofile" the avatar thing has reverted to the "blank avatar" URL, even if I go back right after changing it. <br /><br /> It worked fine when I used one of the generic images. Anyone else got ideas?

jr boater,<br />I tried that too. I then switched to yahoo photos and it has worked fine for me. Good luck.

Could it be its too big?<br />I read in a post that it The pic for the avatar sould be only about 4K so I made mine smaller before trying?<br />Most likely Im off base here.

Link,<br />You're right. His original pic was 42K, just a tad large. The resized image I posted is 7K. Even that just might be too large.<br />Since I'm hosting his pic, I hope he grabs it soon.<br />I noticed that he posted 5 times in another forum since March 25th. I would have been nice if he had returned to this thread, since he asked for help.<br /><br />I'll leave the pic up until this evening, then bye bye.
