only starts when put in gear after running awhile

I looked for past forum infor. , and did not find my issue...pls. help with advice.... 120 Force runs great, starts in neutral first going out, then I have to start her in gear after that. What could I do before putting her in shop? tks. for advice....Daveywonder

yes, check your neutral interlock switch on the motor - it's probably not centered when in neutral.

Put it in neural and loosen the 2 screws in my picture by the screw driver tip. Slide it over so it's directly under the switch. Then tighten the 2 screws. It will take you all of 30 seconds.

Year? The 120 came with 2 different neutral safety systems.
