I have a 2000 sea ray with a 3.0 mercruiser i/o on it. I just replaced the battery yesterday.

now, there is no power to any of the gauges or ignition.

The only power is that the trim down button works, but the trim up button doesnt. The only way I can get it back up is by using the trailering button.

I have no power to anything else on the boat and there is no power to the ignition.

I have replaced all the fuses, and the circuit breaker is not blown.

has this ever happened to anyone? i have heard rumor that there is a fuse inside the starter fuse assembly, but you need to replace the whole thing.

any ideas would be great!

Recheck the battery connections for tightness. Check the trim pump cannon plug connector. Check your grounds. You prolly just have something loose or bumped something.

Did it work before you changed the battery? If so then you have a bad conection on your wires powering you gages and Ign switch coming from the battery.

I just got it out of winter storage. it worked last year. I bought a new battery because my other one went to heck,

so I really just need a vold meter and need to go through like every connection?

Sure that will work. Check at your batery terminals with your meter, If good then try at the ends of your key switch and see what you have. I think it's something simple that came loose or disconected or a ground issue at your Battery.

Ended up taking it in. It blew the 90 amp fuse that is on the starter. in case anyone ever has this same issue. its called the starter fuse assembly on a mercruiser 3.0-

First I seen this thread, and was about to mention it till I read your last post.

Did you cross the wires to the battery, or cause an arch of any kind? That usually takes out that fuse real quick. Here is what it looks like.
