This last weekend I managed to perform my 2nd no-no. Just when I startedto feel like I had this all figured out, I got cocky. I was driving the toon on to the trailer and have the motor trimmed up pretty far to avoid hitting the ramp, as I normally do. But I must of forgot to turn off the motor ( its so quiet ) and my driver pulled up before I turned off the motor. So as it was being pulled out of the water, I ran back and turned it off. It ran for about 5 or so seconds out of the water.

DID I screw anything up?:facepalm:

A few seconds shouldn't of caused you any problem. Just check waterpump output next time you drop it back in the water.

NO, not for 5 or so seconds. Most of us have done the same thing and the others would probably lie about it. LOL......

Roger that. There are two types of boaters; the ones who have done that and admit it and the ones who lie.;)

Damn 4-strokes will do that to you every time !!! It's not your fault Trout, you're the Captain. Blame the wife, the kids, Mercury, or the guy driving the truck !!!

No need to worry, residual water in LU saved the impeller......now,if you start your motor after it has been out of the water for awhile you could very well melt your impeller housing.
