Last night LF, our neighbors & I went to visit some friends who live in a subdivision about 5 miles away. The entrance to the subdivision is a very narrow channel about 4' deep that winds about a mile through some grass flats/marshes. It is marked with pvc poles on one side. There is a 90 deg. bend at about the halfway point of the channel. After snacking, visiting and a few brewskis we decide to head home at about midnight. I was barely on plane and LF was in the process of getting her spotlight out when I thought I saw the pvc marking the bend so I hung a hard left. Oops, wrong pvc. Went from 4' of water to 6" in a heartbeat. Boat stuck itself in the mud like a spear. Everyone was thrown forward but not hurt with the exception of LF who got banged around by the bow rail. My buddy & I jumped in and had to rock/push the boat for about 20 minutes to get it back into the channel. I climbed aboard and fired up the engine. As we idled away I looked back and there was George standing in the middle of nowhere in calf deep water looking real worried. I guess he figured we were going to leave him. After picking him up we headed home without incident. How long you guys think I'm going to hear about this one?
