oose on switchbox

I have done a search on the forum and came up empty. Today I saw a greenish colored oose coming from the switchbox. Sorry for the vague description it looks like oil leaking from the top of the box but when you touch it its very thick and sticky what would cause this and what is it

It's some of the potting, I've seem it it hot weather and in some cases when carb spark or when hot fuels have got on the box from the carb plumes
