Open bow Seat Change

I have a 1988 Crestliner Open Bow. My wife loves to ride up front. She likes to face forward, but cannot get comfortable
because of the seating (just cushions ontop of storage compartments,) and No place to put her legs down in front of her. I would like to make some changes. I was thinking on moving the storage compartments from the bow to the mid section, and trying to mount 2 small Captain's chairs, or something similar. What ever I do, it needs to make seating for 2 in the bow comfortable without sitting sideways. I was wondering if anyone has done this before, and where I might purchase the smaller seats. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you seen any examples of the set up you want on other boats?

Captain's chairs are generally pretty pricey, and not small.

Many more options/ideas may be possible, if you post some photos of your current setup.

Aluminum or fiberglass?
model?
length?

I have seen several boats that are set up this way.

Mid 80's Sylvan aluminum comes to mind.
Seat faced forward, backrest was mounted to the front of the console. There was an open space in front of the seat, then a small storage/step, in the front.

My boat is a 1988 Crestliner 18ft Open Bow Aluminum . Here is a pic of how it is set up. This was taken the day I bought the boat. It still looks the same except it is all cleaned up now.My Boat Crestliner 006.jpg
