Have just bought a new tahoe q6 2008 with a 5L MPI. Have read the manual but cannot see anywhere where there is a reference to fogging. Do you not fog a fuel injection engine?
Thanks,
Dui

Moved this to the I/O forum. We keep the Boat Topics section non-engine . . . ;)

Not exactly sure what good it does to have a poll about it. Especially if the ones voting don't have a clue about what they are doing.
The manufacturers DO have information in the manuals about HOW to "Fog" an MPI engine. While it's not done like it would be on a carbed engine, here is some info I put together from a Volvo and a Mercruiser service bulletin on the subject. The information is also in the 2001 and newer service manuals and owners manuals.

Who knows, maybe after the ones that voted NO on your poll read the information, they will now understand how to do the job and change their vote to YES.

Thanks so much for the reference. Much appreciated. Appears fogging is done but obviously differently...
