I spoke with the owner and they say the boat is in excellent condition and has between 800-900 hours (estimated).

I could use some help here, does a 15 year old "excellent" shape boat warrant the asking price? No way I would buy without an inspection at minimum.

Well if pictures are worth a thousand words I would certainly go have a look because the pics look pretty good, hours are a little high but its a good manufacturer and its claimed to be stored properly, Tandem axle trailer, I would be prepared to purchase it because I don't think it will last long even if it is priced a bit high but only you can tell that for sure, to me it looks like a good buy but as you stated either get it checked out or bring someone knowledgeable to look at it with you.

Price is in keeping with boats around here but then again our prices are a bit higher. I'm a little concerned that he says it's a 5.7 but only 210 HP. That would be in keeping with a 5.0 to me. Could be a typo or he's just not knowledgeable. I would offer a couple of thousand less than asking with a condition on a satisfactory marine survey. See what transpires from there.

Approved. The hours are a bit high, so factor that into the price.

Sometimes it's worth paying for an exceptionally well maintained boat. This could very well be one of those cases ;)
