Hey guys-
Still looking for our first boat and you guys have been an awesome help.
I'm looking for opinions on a 1996 Rinker 265 Fiesta Vee. It's got 700 hours on a Chevy 5.7/350 w Merc Bravo 3 outdrive.
Said to be in very good condition, asking 14,500.

Just wondering if you guys have experience w this one, any common issues I should look for when I go see it. Thanks in advance!

Since it is a 96, I will add to be sure that it has a 1996 engine in it and not a leftover 95 which isn't uncommon. 96 got vortec heads and new intake for increased power.

I'll definitely check the nada value first. But what would you say it's worth is if in very good condition?

NADA has it listed with a tandem axle trailer, which it is advertised with for 11,000 to 8500. NADA isn't the gospel of prices but is a decent gauge. Then it comes down to market timing, and right now is when they ask the most. This time of year the seller wont budge more than a grand, maybe 2 if he hasn't gotten any calls and wants out. The next thing is how bad do you want it and how does it compare to what you have been looking at ? I do not think 700 hours is a lot for a freshwater boat that is used 3 months a year, 21 years old = about 34 hours a year. It looks to be in VGC as far as the vinyl etc goes, but I am looking at pictures not up close. I would go with the NADA printout and work it from there if you like what you see. A survey isn't a bad idea and you can always base the sale price contingent on it passing.
