I don't need a trailerable cover...I just want a water proof one that fits my boat well since I keep my boat outside all year around in Oklahoma. I have a black rubberized one that gets pretty hot in the summer and is pretty bulky when rolled up, but I'd rather have a lighter grey or off-white one to help keep the heat down a little and maybe one that's lighter weight that would be storable in the boat.

Rather than trusting the manufacturer's claims and spending $300+, I thought I'd ask for your opinions...again, doesn't have to be trailerable, vents would be nice, but it has to be waterproof and fairly light weight.

Thanks in advance!

trailerable that fits perfectly will be a custom made cover, find a local company to make you one.

During the season my boat is often stored in a wooded area. So my cover tends to get a lot of tree dirt and crap on it. As such I didn't want to spend the money on an expensive cover just to have it get ruined. So I bought one of those $40 Wal-Mart (or BassPro) covers. It worked surprisingly well. Light, waterproof, and lasted a few seasons. Just make sure you do what you can to "soften" the pointy parts of your boat (like windshield corners) because they will wear through.
