Opinions on marine mech. Schools

I have been knocking around the idea of going back to school to be an outboard mechanic. There are not a lot of options around my home in northeast mississippi. There are a few great places but they always stay weeks out. Any good advice on schools or opinions would be appreciated.

Best to get with a local dealer and get some OJT and see if they will send you to a factory school. BRP has their own school as does Mercury..Don't waste your $$$ on these other schools like MMI.

And the main reason the shops are so far out is that the industry can't support more mechanics or shops in the off season, so part of the year it's very busy, the rest of the year the phone doesn't ring. So think about that before jumping in.
