Opinions on Regal boats compared to SeaRay, Four Winns, Charavelle, etc?

I just saw some Regal boats. I see they have one deckboat, and a bunch of runabouts. How would you guys compare the quality, features, price, warranty, etc. of Regal boats to the competition such as SeaRay, Four Winns, Charvelle, Crownline, etc?<br /><br />Thanks

I have owned searay and several Regals and I see the quality to be about the same.I liked the layout of the Regal better so we switched and were very pleased.I would highly recommend the Regal!!!!!The Searay costs more and the resale is also better.I found many things in the Regal to be superior.Charlie

I have had a 233 ambassador,a 255 ambassador and a 280 commodore.All have considerably more room than one would think.All have tremendous aft cabins.The 255 had a queen aft,the largest aft we found and we looked at boats up to 34 feet at that time.The 280 is a totally different boat.it weighs twice as much as the 255.The aft is bigger and higher than the 255.The teak wood that was used at that time was far superior to any,and I mean any boat on the entire market.The bow rails are all welded and one piece construction.I never had any hull or blister problems.The colored gelcoat I would stay away from,they tend to fade.Engine compartments are roomy,especially in the 255 witha single v8.I had the 255 for eight years and sold it for $3000 more than I paid for it.I could go on forever.Charlie

Dont know.I purchased each used after a long time looking for the right one.My current 280 took us about 2-3 years before we found the one we wanted to buy.If you want to take a look,I think I posted a few pictures last week on a post for "looking for swim platform for crownline " in this section.We replaced the teak platform with a fiberglass one.And someone wanted to see.Charlie

I like the bigger Regals. In 20 foot and under I like more traditional designs. All of those brands mentioned at the start are decent quality. Expect to pay more for those with nicer appointments and finish.
