optima batteries

i hope i posted this in the right area? anyone have any experience with one of these as a cranking or deepcycle trolling. I am considering buying one but not until i can move somewhere so noone can steal it from my boat! Thanks for the input!

I have used the Yellow top battery in my boat. The work great in both applications.

I've got the blue-top 1000 MCA marine battery cranking my '01 150 Ficht, it also powers all the accessories for the boat. I installed it in May of 2000 and have never had to put a charger to it. It fired the engine right up on the first try out of storage at the end of April.<br /><br />-John
