Optimum (per your thread title) would be Zero. Practical absolutely not.

Depends on your rig. Some run low double digits at WOT with everything setup properly. I run around 12% at WOT on my boat which is light with a fast (padded) hull and high HP for the boat size (I'm legal) when I get her adjusted (trimmed properly.....best that I can). On a really optimized (for speed) rig you might get down to 8-10%.

At just-on-plane speeds my slippage may be/has been measured on occasion to be over 30%. Below plane it's gotta be out of sight.

If you are running a heavy boat with a deep V you probably will run quite a bit higher.
