I am still in the middle of repainting my Thunder Craft. I primed the entire cap did not tip, and now I have a orange peel paint job.
My question is will this effect my finish paint if i do not sand it all out?

I am using one part interlux primmer w/ brightside to finish.

Welcome to iBoats

You definitely need to wet sand it out. water and 400 grit. ;)

How did you apply the Primer?
Roll and tip? What Kind of rollers and brushes
Spray? What kind of gun?
What was the temp when you painted?
How thin/thick did you apply?

Good Luck

You put the primer on too heavey, you will have to sand it smooth, and touch up any spots that you go through, e.g edges.

You can thin the primer using Interlux 333 thinner. Use a foam roller and put on light coats. Two coats should suffice with sanding in between. You can thin up to 10%. Get it so it's like a milk thickness, not too watery. I did my second coat of primer with a 50/50 mix with the paint colour. Then 2 to 3 thin coats of paint, also thinned with 333. Sanding in between coats of course.
