I have a 4cyl merc 65hp 74 and the plug wires have been taken off totally -how do I find out the correct order for them on the distributor cap.Is the first in the front -I am lost ...any suggestions?
Not sure on the cap, but the cylinder firing order is 1-3-2-4. Seems like they used to have the numbers marked on the cap, but it's been awhile since I worked on the old Merc....
