ordered cmc power trim

last week i finally ordered my cmc pt130 power trim unit. now i'm like a kid on crack waiting for it to arrive. no more back breaking lifting. now i can get into these hard to reach places for the fish. can't wait. they say boat performance also increases. has anyone had any experience with one of these units?

Put one on my 16' Sea-Nymph with a 50 5-6 years ago and it has been flawless.

Yes it does increase your speed and you can run the motor a hole or 2 higher as it gives you a 6'' set back.

Before I got that I had some hokey handle on top the motor to tilt it with.

I used to fish skinny water and it is really nice to hit a button and keep going but 2 lower units later and I have decided to move to a little deeper water.

I know what you mean, I am saving my pennies now for an electric anchor mate to go with my new Motorguide wireless troller, I just want it soooo bad.

Excellent purchase, you will never regret it.

When you get it, give up some pics of your install and let us know how it works out performance-wise. I'd love one myself but I don't know when I will be able to fork over the $$.

I am on my second one. i love it thinking of adding one to the pontoon next.

I for one am definately looking forward to seeing that video. I've been looking into buying one of those PT135 for a couple of years now. I think I'm going to replace my transom this laste spring/summer and leave the motor off until NEXT spring. The plan is to buy a CMC with my tax return.
