I've found a place to store my boat for the winter cheap which will allow me to park another vehicle in the garage. I needed a cover and decided to give these guys a try http://stores.ebay.com/safeguardcovers. I believe others on here have gotten covers from them and been pleased. I got a gray one for 17'-19' boats for $89 shipped. I was looking around on there and saw their bimini top prices were awesome. I was telling my wife about it and she said order one. I got a 6' gray 3 bow top complete for $129 shipped. Can't wait to get it. My boat came with a tattered convertible top and already had the sides rails so hopefully I can reinstall those and use them with the new top to allow me to slide it to the stern when not in use. I had measured and it seems like a 40" tall top would only require me to duck a little bit to get under it. The one I ordered is 46" so it should be ideal.

Thanks EZ. I am no where near the point of getting a top yet but I will want one. Not sure if I want a bimini or a complete enclosure yet. For the price of yours though I may follow you, again. Look forward to seeing it.:)

You can get that idea right outta your head. I would be divorced for sure. There won't be any additional boats in my stable for the foreseeable future. I just want to get the truck in the garage. Plus my garage is always trashed when the boat is in there cuz I can't get to half the stuff. If the owner of this property where I'm going to store my boat is ok with it, I may end up keeping it there somewhat permanently. It's on my way to work and I can easily pick it up and drop it off whenever I want to use it.

Great deal on the bimini, I think I might be doing the same before springtime.

Thanks for the link, those prices are very tempting:D

Are you going to bolt on that bow-mount this winter?

Oh I got major projects to untake. Probably wait til about March to start on them though. I have a lot of house tasks and train layout work for the winter.

The boat needs to have:
- the bow deck completely rebuilt
- pedestal seat insert made for the bow
- rear casting box/pedestal seat mount made
- bow mount trolling motor installed and wired
- at minimum, a tach installed. Probably have to add a fuel gauge too since I won't be able to see my tank after the rear box is built.
- fish finder bought and installed
