Original factory tach for 86 Bayliner w/125hp Force

I'm trying to figure out if the factory tach from a 1986 bayliner with the volvo/ penta setup will work with my 1986 Bayliner with the Force 125hp.

I picked up a complete dash panel with all the available gauges offered in 86 in working order from a guy who was going to pitch it in the trash a couple of years back. Being the stickler for working OEM that I am, I'd love to drop the tach in my dash.

Anyone know if this tach is compatible with my OB set up?

Inboard tachs don't register RPM's as high as an outboard Tach. Don't see it working...

That engine needs a 20 pole tach and they are pretty rare/expensive. If you can't locate one then you may be able to find a digital tach that can be configured for 20 pole.

The tach works fine, but my Force was retired two years ago when it lost a cylinder. I re-powered with a Johnson 150hp.
