Original owners manual

I was recently given a 1965 Penn Yan 18' stern drive for a family project. I would be very interested in getting any of the manufacturers original documents for this specific boat. If possible I would like something with pictures of the original showroom condition to give me some idea what this boat looked like in 1965. I have exhausted my efforts in blind searching on the internet. What I have found thus far searching for Penn Yan information is pretty meager. Does anyone have any idea where this type of documentation can be found? Any and all input would be greatly apprciated. Thank you.

elane45

Re: Original owners manual

Welcome elane -

Not many folks will keep 50 year old owners manuals around. Try eBay.

If you have specific questions post here or in the I/O section. I assume that you do not have the original engine/outdrive.

Re: Original owners manual

Good Morning SoLittle,

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I do have the original outdrive (tunnel drive). Infact, I rceived a folder with the boat containing everything you could want as far as paperwork. (I.E. parts receipts, marina bills, copies of each registration, etc). It actually has a rebuilt 302 Mercruiser with only 700 hours on it since it was installed in 1997. I guess it's the picture I'm really looking for. Thanks for your suggestion, I will check out Ebay.
