I went to the Ottawa Boat & Sportsmen Show last weekend and was very disappointed in Doral. The local dealer only had a 16' 170 Sunquest and a 16' Thundercraft. When I ask him why no more bigger boats he said with all the snow it would of been hard to bring them. Then I ask how did they manage to bring the two 23'+ Stripper center console fishing boat? No answer. If he think fishermen on the Ottawa river are interested in a big wave Stripper boat he is mistaken. Around here only Bass boats are used.
The only other big Canadian boat company Campion wasn't even there.
Big cruisers, fishing boat and small bowriders where plenty from all other manufacturers. I was looking more in the 25'+ range Sports Cuddy's but only one there was a 255CCR Crownline. Nice boat but nothing else to compare it to.
Oh well. Next year I'll go to Toronto or Montreal instead.
