Sold my 16 SS open bow restored boat today. Not what I wanted by a long shot but sold it to a Disabled Vet. he needed something without a closed bow so he could get in and out. 2 -K and a 6 hp evinrude. We are starting to feel the pressure of the recession esp . the Marine industry. Anyone want to buy a 6 hp Evinrude??? LOL feel good but still very depleated in my Boat fund. Pugetsound

It's sad to see a resto leave the family. Especially a SS but it must make the hit a bit softer knowing it went to a worthy new owner.

It's bitter sweet to get rid of an old friend. And I think we all know the boats we've fixed up and think of them like old friends. I applaud you for selling it to a disabled vet, and not trying to make a bunch off him like so many do. Have you found a replacement yet?

Ed, glad to hear you sold the rig to somebody who will enjoy it, nice work.

What is it you are looking for now? Maybe a Starcraft cabin boat or a bigger SS?

Good luck on the hunt, if you want a cheap one you could always drive to Michigan.:)

Not looking for a new project now. Time and age catching up faster than I like. I still have my 22 Holiday with the monster O/B So not without a starcraft just a little rough getting it in and out or our local river.
