our first boat

we got our first boat 14 foot aluminum with a 1973 18 evenrude.We have to fix one spark plug hole w/helicoil.But what is my fuel mix& what octane should i use?Thanks for the advice in advance.Aand should i replace fuel pump,water pump before we head out?

Welcome aboard!

Gas mix is 50:1 or 8oz to 3gal, 16oz to 6gal.

Had one of those and they are nice engines and easy to work on. Water pump is a quick change. I'd leave the fuel pump.
