Out drive won't go up

Have mercruiser bravo one outdrive and it will lower with trim switch but will only come up with trailer tabs. Any help would be great.

99% chance it's the trim limit switch on the gimbal ring.

Here is how to check it out. This is for an Alpha I Gen II, but should be the same or similar for your Bravo drive. You gave no hint as to year.

Thats what i found on my same question to these gentleman. I had a bad trim limit switch. I dont have deep pockets and found you can use it that way as long as you remember you have to trim it up to trailer. Kind of ghetto but i am just trying to get on the water. If i recall, something big has to come off if you want to replace it. Someone with more knowledge should be able to tell you what's involved in replacing it but just follow the manual about testing the trim switch. Make your decision on which direction to go after that.

What Don said, probably limit switch, replacing is a pain, and they ain't all that cheap. I did mine along with sender when I did the bellows, but I wouldn't go through it unless you were doing that kind of a job anyway. Just my .02
