out drive won't trim up

Ok Im working on a Sea Ray 190 with the 4.3 and Mercruiser out drive. When he trys to trim the drive up it simply clicks at him. I believe the boat is 1997. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Probably need a new up solenoid on the trim pump. Jump a screwdriver across the 2 large terminals on the solenoid with the blue wires (up solenoid) and it will probably raise. If so solenoid is bad.

Ayuh,... Or just dirty corroded wiring ends, 'n connections....

If they ain't clean shiny metal, they're suspect...

Ok all I get it clicking from both up and down solenoides. What's the likely hood the pump bit the dust and is there a good way to test it?

Does the pump run going down? if it does then the motor is fine.
If it does trim down ok, it's probably just the solenoid as mentioned. They can click and still not work.
