Need to verify bolt pattern measurements.


Top holes, 12 7/8 inches apart
Bottom holes 9 7/8 inches apart
Top to bottom holes, 8 inches

Top holes should be how far from the top of the transom?

it depends on the engine, especially the order ones, as there was no set pattern.

Found an old bracket in the garage, measured it.
Yes, the above dimensions are correct.

What's important is where the cavatation/ventilation plate is in relation to the bottom of the hull. Prop the outboard on the hull, get the plate right and use the motor mount as a drilling guide. Sam

I am not actually mounting the motor on a boat, but I am trying to build a motor stand. Didn't want to drill the holes too low in the 2x12, that it would interfere with the top of the motor mount.

Maybe I should just wait till I get the motor home, before I drill the holes.
