OK - I know this has been posted before, but I am having a hard time with the 'new' search function of this board and am getting a bit frustrated :|
I am looking for pictures and ideas for a wood engine stand on wheels. I built one for my 50 HP motor (175lb) but would like to build a better one for the 85HP (245lb) engine. The one I built before is made of 2x4's is basically sawhorses with diagnal bracing and spreaders between the legs with wheels
My challenge is that my garage has a 2" wide, 1" high ragged concrete gap and a short (2') rough concrete ramp to a rough concrete driveway - so I would like to make it maneuverable yet rigid enough so that it doesn't flex at the gap or if the wheels jamb up on the rought stuff. I also have to move it a lot so it should be easy to handle. I don't think that this will be hard to do, but I would love to see what other people have done.
Does anyone have pictures, links to other threads, ideas - anything you would like to share??!!
Thank you
Shaun
