Outboard Identification

Hello,
I purchased a boat sight-unseen and was wondering if someone could identify these outboards. All I know is that they are Evinrude 90's, unknown if carbed or FI, 2 or 4 stroke. Sealed bid and the price was right. The intent is for a great lakes dive boat. Any idea of year or reputation? Any info about the boat would be interesting also! 23' P-class craft is what I know.
Thanks,

i have seen similar, but no ideas what the boat is. pic not good enough to determine exactly what the motors are either.

Re: Outboard Identification

I did some Google Image searches and some 2000-2001 Evinrude's look similar but the motors don't seem to have the wide V that most 90's have. But your right, the picture is poor.
Thanks

Re: Outboard Identification

they sure look like some nice newer motors.
they look so new that they should be fuel injected.
do you have to boat now, or have you not seen it yet?
is that an aluminum boat?

Re: Outboard Identification

I believe the hull to be aluminum based on another vessel that has come from this facility.

What is the year range for FICHT problems? Were these in only the higher HP models? This is just info that I've seen on the web. Some people says the 90's were solid but I've read lots of + and -. Did Evinrude make carbed models with this cowl?

Thanks,

Re: Outboard Identification

Picked this boat up today, aluminum hull, very well built, coast guard quality door and windows. Motors are 2001/1999 90hp Evinrude FICHT's. All rigging is there but disconnected, no batteries. The trailer is as new, surge brakes on both axles. Interesting project to get going! Compression test is first issue.
