Hey ppl...maybe you can help me on this...i took my boat out today and once i accelerated it would stall out...i did get it up to WOT..but i would have to run the motor a bit before that could happen..I rebuilt the carbs about 4 months ago...Idk if this has any thing to do with it but on the lower carb a little gas leaks out..is that normal??? i was told it was but im not sure...the motor is a 96 VJ115TLETS

No the carbs should not leak. Did you set the float levels? Did you sync and link the carbs? How did you "rebuild" the carbs?

According to the model number, your engine is a 1993 model crossflow. Any chance that the carbs have plastic bowls? If so, the top sealing edge of these bowls warp with age and are prone to leakage.

Re: Outboard keeps stalling when a accelerate

All of the plastic bowls of this vintage tend to leak with age. The top bowl surface gets out of flat and won't seal properly to the upper carb body. The fix is to order new bowls of the same original part number from the factory. You'll get the correct aluminum factory replacements in the box. There should be instructions, as there are add't modifications required to get the new bowls to work.
