I was looking at buying a late model Seaswirl today with a Yamaha outboard and when the owner was going to start the motor in the driveway the motor was accidently trimmed down to far and started to push the boat on the trailer. I didn't see any damage but would that be enough to damage a transom?

if that damaged the transom, the transom was junk to begin with.

no way having the motor skeg land on the ground and lift a bit would cause damage to a good transom

I'll put it this way, if it damaged the transom I'd be happy, why?..... because the transom was rotten/weak and a danger anyways

If the skeg was on the ground, and the boat was moved backwards, then I would be concerned, as that can do serious Damage to a Transom

Maybe it hurt the transom....probably not. Maybe it hurt the skeg, probably not. If the owner screwed up that bad, what else did he do in the past.

Deal breaker....
