Go to aomci.org. On the left hand side, under links, there's one called
Free Classifieds. Click on that. It's called Webvertise, and you'll be hitting your target audience. I'll tell you right now that those particular motors are very common, and don't bring much money unless in pristine condition.

Even pristine, seldom more than 150 to $200. My cousin is buying a fully restored 1941 Sport Four for ~$600, and this motor is better than brand new. Your 5 hp is likely to bring more like 100 to $125.

I agree with the other posters on this thread about the old TNs being somewhat common. I also agree with the values they gave.

I did see a 1951 TN-27 for sale on e-Bay in early 2008 that had been used only 1 season (!). The reserve was $750. Naturally it took a while to sell, but it did sell in 2008. The thing had an original crate and was really nice. All original paint & decals, no dents, plus (and this is important) the non-replaceable bushings (crankshaft bearings) were not worn out with use.

You would be shocked if you knew how much my 1950 5-horse was to have restored. It is money I will never see again, but I am happy because I have a really nice TN and it runs beautifully. I had it restored for sentimental reasons, since dad bought it in about '52 and used it a lot in Algonquin Park with my late uncle.
