outboard question from a female ...

hi i have a johnson 3hp jwf22c outboard motor ..
the question is: Does this have F-N-R gears or does it spin around for reverse?
also what would the top speed be.

That one spins around for reverse.

No speed demon, for sure, maybe 10 MPH-tops. One of the most realiable engines ever built. I have two similar. I wouldn't part with them for any price.

50:1 fuel to oil ratio. Use TCW-3 rated outboard oil only mixed with regular gas (87).

Get a manual and service the lower unit fluid and impeller. It will run forever.
