Outboard questions.

where are all the experts? no replys to last three posts. I would like to know how much trouble to convert from a tiller to remote on a 1987 60 hp Johnson, and if any one knows where i can find a good used powerhead for a 1987 70 hp Johnson. Third post was for a tack for a 1975 40 hp rude with point ignition. Someone please answer, I have faith in you all.

I cant help you on the first two but I would go for a tiny tach for the forty.<br /> They have a web site and make tachs for all kinds of applications about 40 dollars.<br /> Be sure you tell them 2 cylinder 2 cycle.

Experts???<br /><br />Is it problematic to change from tiller to remote? Not if all the attachment points are on the motor. As soon as you have to start buying parts the cost goes up sustatially. Does it have, or did you want electric start also? Is it hard? I doubt it. It pretty much depends on your skills and tools.<br />As to the powerhead they are available right here from Iboats.<br /><br />
