Re: OUTBOARD REPAIR

i don't know about where you are, but where i am cheap doesn't cut it .if you go with cheap here you won't have customers for long.if it were me i would concentrate more on quality parts and quality service .not that you want to rip folks off ,but you don't want them pissed next week because of a cheap part that failed . what kind of experience do you have ? i asked because most people i know with enough knowledge to run an outboard repair business do not have to ask where they can buy parts. one more thing."IF THE WORST THING MY CUSTOMERS CAN SAY ABOUT ME AFTER THEY HAVE LEFT IS I WAS EXPENSIVE THEN I HAVE DONE MY JOB" if this is the worst complaint you ever get you will have no problem getting customers . good luck!

Re: OUTBOARD REPAIR

Welcome to the forum K.Graves!?!
Now that you've taken your woopin'......
OEM are usually the best choice, but Sierra has many good quality parts as well. Many of them are OEM. Even the dealers around here use them from time to time(quietly of course) You can wholesale them direct or through NAPA. You come to know from experience what parts are useable from the jobber. If in doubt, let your customer decide. Nothing builds more customer trust, than to give them the options and price differences, and explain the failure risks involved.....
