Outboard Restriction

I am sure this has been discussed before but the 15hp and 9.9hp yammie are the same engine simply detuned. Any dealer can perform a mod on the 9,9 very quickly to make it 15hp. OK, my engine is a 1996 849cc triple 2 stroke 50hp, same cc as the 60 and 70. Any idea what they do to restrict these bigger motors?

Head and carbs are different. Hydro Tec has done a lot of work on H.P on these motors and offer some hop up parts for them.

I modify all my 50hp yamaha to push over 70hp, (I race with these) and have a 85 yamha that now push over 110hp .... ok they are racing modified, so we blueprint the motor, change the head and exhaust, the whole fuel system etc. But a word of advice, rather leave the engine as it is .....
