Thanks Chief 101, I have not been around in a while and had not noticed the small links up top that you pointed out. I appreciate the tip, will move it there.

BTW, is this price too much??? I think I paid about $250 for it used. I was under the impression that the SS props held their value pretty well. I don't want to rob someone, myself included though ;_P

Thanks for the replys guys!!!

ChevyReb

You might look at the props here on iboats to get an idea what a new one costs. Most folks here will want to know the brand and style, and if any modifications have been made and by who. iboats prices are a good reflection of how much a new unit will bring, so used is naturally gonna be much less. Chief :)

I have to say that I got a great deal and have to also believe that it is because of the time of the year. The make of the prop will determine the value. Thats a very common pitch, you should be able to get close to your asking price in a month or two.

  If its a Balistic,  You might have to hang on to it for awhile as they dont have much of a following here. But, like W. C. Fields used to say, "THERE IS A SUCKER BORN EVERY MINUTE", and there have been a lot of them sold.

Re: Outboard SS 3 blade Prop...

Thanks guys. I am uncertain what brand name it is, I will look in the shop later and see. It's not like the one on my new Caravelle Interceptor that has Vengence engraved on the blade.

It came with a Stratos Fish/Ski boat I bough used. Two props came with the boat and I was told that one was for pulling skiers and the other was for top end. I ran this one for one weekend and it did not run any different than the other prop, so I changed it back as the one that I was using was the polished finish and this one is not as shiny.

The prop I put back on did not have any numbers on it at all so I don't know what pitch it was. But the boat toped out at 57mph @ 5500rpm with both of them. Nothing wrong with it, it ran smooth with no vibrations or anything that felt different from the other one.

The last ss used prop I bought was delivered to my house for less than 70 bucks. It is an oem brand prop. Chief

This one has a small diamond outline with an M in the middle of the diamond. Any idea which brand? Keep in mind this prop is at least 8 years old.
