Hi, I am new to outboard motors but not new to boats. I have a Mercury black max 150hp 2-stroke and when I'm boating along, the boat turns left very easy like it has power steering, but turning right really takes some force. Is this normal?

The motor is probably a 1980 something and the boat is a 1983 16' Larson Citation if this is pertinent to this question.

Pretty normal. It is the old law that we learned in high school science class "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction". The action of turning the propeller has an equal and opposite reaction of turning the motor. If it has an adjustable tab behind the propeller, moving that may help some.
