I think I saw somewhere there is a device that warns you if your shut your i/o motor off and the drive is down. Now I can't remember where I saw it. Such a device would of course be only for real dummies, not for myself.
The ultimate alarm is the grinding noise it makes when your draft is greater than the available depth of water. It's natures' little way warning you to trim up!!!
