OUTDRIVE ID

Ok guys time for a dumb question.. how do I id my out drive? I know it is a duo prop out mid 90's production and I believe it is a 2.15 to 1 ratio. oyher than that not sure. need to order some parts for it and want to make sure of what I am ordering.

A photo might help, if it is like mine, there is a plate riveted on the body hidden by the portside trim ram. Another clue would be the ID numbers of the transom shield that are on the inside of the engine compartment.

NUMBERS ON ID TAG ARE 1101520236 AND 867949 SHORTER NUMBER IS ON TOP RIGHT CORNER AND LONGER ONE AT THE BOTTOM. THERE AR 2 EMPTY SPACES IN THE MIDDLE. DO THESE NUMBERS MEEN ANYTHING??

Those numbers refer to a transom shield for a 290. I can't access the USA VP site without using a VPN but they might be able to give you better ideas as to what you have.

thanks for the reply Scott. I tried goind to parts site under the genuine volvo parts but am unable to find the cone clutch. maybe I just am using the site wrong. do you by chacnge know the vovlo part number for it . thanks

when I looked up the number on google, your drive came back as a 1986. what motor do you have in the boat? AQ271?

AQ290 IS WHAT I WAS TOLD IT IS . THE ENGINE WAS REPLACED IN 1999 AND I JUST OVERHAULED IT LAST YEAR . 5.7 SBC WITH CENTER BOLT VALVE COVERS
