I'm about to install my 1992 Alpha 1 Gen II outdrive (first time for me. The gasket kit includes the lager gasket for the drive itself the large rubber ring that goes inside the bell housing and 4 smaller Orings. That largest of the the 4 o-rings is for water passage but I'm confussed about the other 3. I don't see anything in the manuals referring to them. It seems that the 2 smallest one (which are the same size might (if stretched) replace the ones on the u-joint shaft. Is that correct? What is the third one for? I'd hate to find out that they were needed after I had the drive on.<br />Thanks

Yes those 2 stretch and fit the shaft. The third one is also for the shaft. Some shafts have a third ring that fits into the coupler.
