outdrive leaking fluid

Penta 280 outdrive has leaked all of its fluid. The leak is on the outside (no fluid in the bilge). I know a trip to the shop will happen but I'd like to get some ideas/possibilities from you folks first.

The only way you are going to find leaks, is to drain the gear lube and do a pressure check.

That's not real close.Like don says,drain the fluid and pressure test.J
