outdrive lock nuts

There are 6 lock nuts that bolt the outdrive to the pivot housing of my 1988 omc 2.3l. Can I just buy these at the hardware store and are they stainless steel? Thanks.

Merc.'s are Fine Thread,+ SSteel,........ That makes them Tough to Find in Hardware Stores,........

OMC's,..... I Don't Know..........

NAPA has the fine thread ssteel for the merc`s. Just take one in and they should be able to match it.
