Outdrive Pressure Test Questions.

Ive made up a rig to pressure test my Alpha 1 Gen 2 outdrive (car tyre valve, pressure gauge, tee piece and some piping). The bit that is to screw into the outdrive is an outdrive oil filler nozzle from one of the plastic filling pumps.

This has only a plastic thread on it, will it seal or will I need to wrap the threads with PTFE tape or something to seal it?

Ive read on here that the outdrive should hold 15psi overnight. does that mean that the full 15psi should be there next morning or that there should be some pressure left, if not the full 15?

Ayuh,... The fitting should have an O-ring at it's shoulder....

There should be the Same pressure in the morning as it was at night...
