Outdrive slowly losing oil

Hi everyone,

Last summer I trashed a prop on some rocks while trying to get on plane. I replaced the prop but had the gear oil warning come on later that day. I can't find any external leaks, but it will slowly consume gear oil whenever the boat is running. I probably have to refill the reservoir once for every four or five hours of engine run time.

I took it to a marina last fall who pressure tested the drive and found nothing wrong; they said it held pressure overnight. I couldn't find any evidence of water intrusion when I drained the drive to winterize, but it keeps using oil for some reason, but only when the engine is running. Can you guys give me any suggestions on where to look?

there are only 4 places you can have a "rotating leak". prop shaft, water pump base, upper driveshaft, input shaft

Your supposed to rotate the input shaft of the drive during a pressure test

I don't think they pulled the drive, but I'm not certain.

Thanks for the help guys. If I pull and separate the drive would I see evidence of a leak, or does this need to be pressure tested?
