I am to the place to check out my tilt and trim here is my problem.
The guy I got the boat from had the outdrive all the way up on the hook.
the motor is the 470 merc. I was wondering how to get it off the hook.
when I hit the up button on the tilt trim I just get a clickwhen i hit the down i get nothing...

Re: Outdrive stuck on trailoring hook

Do you have a three button control for the tilt/trim, if so you will need to press the out button and the middle button sorry can't remember what it's called, I have the same system and ran into the same issue when I bought the boat, hope that helps.

Re: Outdrive stuck on trailoring hook

If you make a jumper wire and go from the battery + terminal to the terminal shown with the BLUE line, the drive should go up, the Green line will make the drive go down. This bypasses the solenoids completely. You can also check the main fuse going to the trim pump by checking (with a meter or test light) at point A, then at B. If you have power at A and not B, you need a new fuse.
