Been fighting this for the past year now... and its been impossible teaching anyone how to drive the boat, also I dont want to get too use to this.

SO.... like the title says the trim is working backwards for the outdrive. Ive already checked the hydraulic lines and they are correct in placement... so I am thinking this is a wiring issue. Where is the first place to start with this? The throttle or the trim motor?

find the switch output and trace back to relay or controls box. swap the up wire with the down wire. or, if you have 2w motor then just simply flip the motor wires.

Re: Outdrive Trim working backwards...

Did you get the boat this way or what was worked on and this problem began.

As pointed out the blue and green wires have been reversed, whether it was at the switch or at the relay you need the correct wiring diagram so you can make sure that it is returned to the correct pattern.

Do you have the factory service manual? If not please post the model and serial so we can determine which manual is correct. And can post the correct wiring diagram.

When I got the boat it was working correctly, but I had a new transom assembly installed while the motor what getting more HP and when i got it back this is what im experiencing. They wouldn't be to fix it for another 2-3 weeks when i call them and I said to hell with it... Ill fix it myself. So this is where im at with it. Ill going to check everything you guys suggested and get this done myself. Ill have to look this weekend to see what model it is... I know its a 89' trim for and alpha one setup.

Thanks for the help you guys!
